St Francis Province Thamarasery has 192 sisters engaged in various social and religious activities such as prayer , education, care for the sick, caring the orphans and the aged. A good number of sisters are engaged in the field of education especially in the primary schools. Few sisters work in the schools managed by the diocese of Thamarassery. The province has one primary school, one high school and five nursery schools The sisters strive to impart value based education to the students through their teaching in schools. The students are given apt care and encouragement to improve their knowledge in subject as well as their skills and talents .Total well being of the person is our aim. The sisters give importance in moral education irrespective of caste and creed. The teaching sisters are given motivational seminars and encouragements to refresh and update themselves for the needs of the time. The teaching sisters try to be better facilitators of learning for the young minds in the schools especially at their early age.
